About this project:
Twenty interrelated images carved into wooden railway sleepers become a tactile poem that charts the journey of raw materials from the forest to industry, and finally to the heavens. The sculpture, placed along the curve of a railway line has been carved through a grove of silver birch trees and comments on the coexistence of nature and industry.
