About this project:
The Yas Hotel and Marina project are part of a $36 billion dollar development. The hotel features a 217-meter expanse of 5,800 pivoting glass panels that create a shell over the hotel. The veil-like covering connects two buildings together and at night provides a light show as computers control each panel. A state-of-the-art Formula One racecourse surrounds and passes through the hotel allowing visitors to take in both the extreme sound and the spectacle of the race from various viewpoints within the hotel. Immediately adjacent to the hotel and race course is the immense Ferrari World complex which shares access to the race course.
